Timucuan Trail Parks Foundation is proud and honored to announce our latest partnership with the DISCOVERY MONTESSORI SCHOOL, (www.dmsonline.org) to launch our Young Explorer’s section! Discovery Montessori’s mission, vision and core values align with those of our foundation, particularly when it comes to cultivating our future stewards and leaders of tomorrow. |
Discovery Montessori School offers a model educational program set in an open, natural environment. This serene and natural environment, along with the enriched classrooms, fosters each child’s intrinsic desire for knowledge and provides the means for self-exploration and growth.
Not only is Discovery Montessori planting the seeds of knowledge within each child, but through the Edible Schoolyard garden, each child is literally planting his and her own seeds. This wonderful, hands-on program is giving the children an opportunity to discover the true beauty and value of plants and vegetables and the natural environment.
